The
first real rest day on my trip, the one in Boston doesn't count since
at that point I hadn't started cycling yet. It was nice for a change
to sleep in and not getting on the bike. I had a really lazy morning
and didn't do anything. During breakfast I had a nice conversation
with another guest from Pakistan. It was really interesting talking
to him and getting to know him. He his traveling quite a bit to give
lectures around the world. He and his colleague just stayed for the
night and went back to New York city that day, to fly to Turkey the
next day. Later that morning, Jordan the owner of the B&B came by
and we talked a bit about my trip. It was nice meeting him, he is a
great guy and his B&B is just wonderful.
After
lunch I set of to the Falls. Today I walked over the rainbow bridge
to the Canadian site of the Falls. Beforehand I was a bit nervous
about it, after the experience I made at Boston airport, especially
about coming back to US from Canada. But everything went really
smoothly and I had no problem getting into Canada and coming back
into the US. After I was back in the US I went back to the B&B
to relax a bit. Also on the way back from Canada I finally got the picture of the sign saying "Welcome to New York", the second state sign I was able to take a picture of.
Although
the weather wasn't as nice today as it was yesterday, the Falls were
even more impressive from the Canadian side. The view from the
Canadian side on the Falls is just sensational. I would recommend to
anyone if you visit the Falls to take the time to walk/drive to the
Canadian site and view the Falls from there.
Conclusion
for the day:
Hallo Frank.
