Hi, I’m Frank an engineer from Berlin (Germany) and this is a blog about my bicycle ride across America in 2018. The trip from Boston to Seattle will mainly follow the Northern Tier route. More information on the route can be found here.

I've been thinking about taking a bike ride through the US for a few years now and last year I decided it’s finally time to go for it. This will be my first long distance tour (over 600 miles). The last couple years I was mainly focused on mountain biking and amongst other things I finished three organized tours crossing the Alps. I'm looking forward to this new adventure/experience.

This is the first blog I write. The blog should serve me mainly as a journal and to keep family, friends and anyone else interested informed about my trip. Feel free to leave a comment or to write me an email.
