Today
was just as sunny and warm as yesterday. It was nice to have such
nice weather for my last day on the bike on this trip. Today I
finally reached the destination of the trip I started more than two
months ago. I reached Seattle and will spend the next ten days here,
until I will fly back to Germany on the 26th of July.
Today
I only had to cover a really short distance to Bremerton and from
there I took the ferry to Seattle. So the route was not really a
challenge, it was more of a relaxed ride on the bike to end my trip.
It feels strange to be done and not to be back on the bike in the
next days, but I think even without cycling I will enjoy my time in
Seattle. I already organized a few things today, before I checked
int7o the apartment. I already bought a ticket to a Mariners game
(baseball) and the CityPass a pass that includes the entrance to some
of the major sites in Seattle. I figured when I'm in the USA I have
to see at least one baseball game and Seattle has a really good MLB
team, so I decided to buy a ticket. Sure I would have rather watched
a basketball or football game, but I'm here the wrong time of the
year for that. Later in the afternoon I checked into the apartment
The place is quite nice and with a full kitchen, so I don't have to
go out to eat every day. That safes me at least some money, Seattle
is expensive enough as it is. The location of the apartment is great,
it is just a few blocks from CenturyLink Field and across the street
is Union Station. Most of the Seattle's major sites are in walking
distance, so it is a perfect starting point to explore the city.
Since
I'm not anymore on the road cycling and not anymore in a different
place every day, there wont be a blog entry every day. Instead I will
only do a blog entry every couple days.
Conclusion
for the day:
It
feels strange to be done with my bicycle trip and not going to get on
the bike in the next days.
