Day 0 - Getting there!

The departure day is finally here. I finished the last trip preparations yesterday and packed the bike for the flight to Boston. The challenge for today was getting the bike to the airport. The bike box was a lot heavier and larger than expected. With the help of Jakob (a friend from work), we managed to get the bike to Tegel airport.

Everything went smoothly, at least until I arrived in Boston. I had to spent more than two hours at the border agency and got questioned about my trip. I guess it is not really common that some guy from Germany wants to come to the USA for 90 days, to cross the country alone on a bike. It was a very long day and now I'm just beat and need some sleep. Let's hope that tomorrow will not be as stressful.
